Music

"Cantanti dall’est" is the third EP by producer Francesco Panettone. He delivers 3 diverse tracks, which all have in common, that they’re partly consisting of vocal-samples from eastern European jazz/funk tracks of the soviet era. Hence the slightly ironical Italian title, in English: "Singers from the East". The first track is more like a jazzy house thing, the second one disco-ish and the third has some more deep vibes to it. To conclude the EP, Francesco Panettone has invited his good friends Twerking Class Heroes to make their own track with some of the samples from the project.

Artwork

The artwork is a result of the master thesis of designer & artist Helena Tapajnova. For this work, she experimentd with mixtures of wild yeast and porcelain. This resulted in porcelain objects with structures influenced by microorganisms. The cover displays a scan of one of the objects.
